About The Living Word Cafe
The Living Word Cafe is a nonprofit organization based in Kannapolis, North Carolina, dedicated to breaking the cycle of housing instability for women and veterans. We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and the opportunity to build a stable, independent life. Guided by values of compassion, dignity, and faith, we provide more than just shelter—we offer a pathway to hope and transformation.

Our Services
Transitional Housing
Safe, supportive housing for women and veterans experiencing housing instability. Our transitional housing program provides temporary shelter combined with comprehensive support services to help residents stabilize their lives and work toward permanent housing solutions.
Employment & Education Programs
Career development and educational support services designed to build skills and increase employment opportunities. We offer job training, resume assistance, interview preparation, and educational advancement programs to help residents achieve economic independence.
Supportive Services & Case Management
Personalized support services including case management, life skills training, mental health resources, and community connections. Our dedicated team works with each resident to address individual needs and create a customized plan for achieving long-term stability and independence.
